Sunday, Sunday ...

Talking to Martin this morning and he sent me a link for a radio interview he did for the book yesterday on "Beyond 50 Radio Show" in the States. Good interview Marty and yes, I thought the host was quite perceptive with many of his questions. Daniel Davis? Actually a lot of the other episodes looked rather interesting too ..

Here's the link - just scroll down to "EPISODE13 - Everything He Hasn't Told You Yet/Little Known Black History" and hit listen.

Love to hear some feedback! Love to hear you've bought the book on the strength of it!! LOL

Bye Bye January & Hello February!

The weeks are not exactly flying by, in fact I think this is the longest January ever! Work is over whelming, the weather is stinky hot and at home there just seems to be too much to do and not enough inspiration to just get on with it. A hangover from the holidays perhaps?
L & I did the "door" at the latest Billy Fury fundraiser (for Starship Children's Hospital) the other week. Some really good acts during the night. My favourite of course was Johnny Cash - the guy was no double looks wise but he sure could sing!

Then of course Freddy Mercury was divine! This guy just was a fantastic entertainer - very funny (without being gross), had the voice & oh yes, he had the moves even though as he put it, he was "Freddy before Jenny Craig"!

Leonie got to meet Shane Cortese - here she is with Moya & the "boy". Can't say I ever watched Dancing With The Stars but he came across as a very genuine guy and let's face it, he deserves points for trundling out to do a fundraiser in South Auckland on a Friday night. He says he's committed to fundraising for Starship so hats off to him

Wouldn't be a night out without Elvis would it! Leonie & I being angelic as usual.

Roy Orbison & Frank Sinatra also made appearances but we left (dare I say this!) before Billy Fury. Good night and Moya certainly raises a fair bit of dosh for some worthy causes. Still she would raise a lot more if she would only put belly dancers in her shows. Oh look. Here's three who could be available!!
