The Ladies Who Take Tea
Aren't we beautiful! Leonie, Nehru, Gina & I played ladies today. Last year the Madcow Mother had given Leonie (her "other" daughter) the teaset her father had given her, and ever since we've been wanting to play ladies. Given the amount of laughing & naughtiness you'd think the cups were full of gin ... now there's an idea.
We've decided to try and make it a regular event. Afterall, we all seem to have inherited teasets that are just gathering dust in the china cabinets. Next time though we MUST remember to wear our hats & lippy. We are ladies afterall!
Now if only we could find a teapot that didn't dribble.

Oh, how fun! One of my all time favorite memories is having tea at the Plaza in NY. I felt so grown up and so sophisticated. What a great idea getting together and having tea and making it an event! That's what life is all about!
Okay, so I haven't read your blog in a while! Lovely to see your garden, your tea party, your absolutely smashing chicken and leek pie and the (sometimes) smiling faces of your NY dinner guests. Good to put some faces to names too.

Scoot over and move in a chair for me...I've always wanted to go to a genuine tea party! My grandmother's friends were all coffee drinkers.
